Driving Test

With effect from Monday 29 November 2021, the DVSA have split the Driving Test into 2 separate parts:

•             Driving Test (Part 3a) Off-road Exercises

•             Driving Test (Part 3b) On-road Driving

Your driving tests will be conducted by a DVSA Driving Examiner – 30 minutes for Part 3a and 60 minutes for Part 3b.

The Off Road Exercises Test consists of a Reversing Exercise and a Un-coupling/Re-coupling exercise for Articulated Vehicles.

The On Road Driving Test requires you to drive at a high standard throughout, covering varied road and traffic conditions.
